Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corp.,
today announced its latest lines of network, duplex printers aimed at small to
medium-size businesses.
The multifunction SCX-4835FR, SCX-5639FR
and wireless SCX-5739FW printers offer added
security, and the ML-3312ND, ML-3712ND and ML-3712DW models feature faster
output, according to a company release. The ML-3312ND, ML-3712ND, SCX-4835FR
and SCX-5639FR will be available this month
for $199, $249, $449 and $549, respectively. The ML-3712DW and SCX-5739FW
will be available in March at $299 and $699, respectively.
The SCX-4835FR, SCX-5639FR
and wireless SCX-5739FW multifunction
printers feature the company’s Secure Pull Printing, which gives users the
option to print to any device on their network while ensuring that only the
specified user can collect the document. The printer requires an authentication
code before producing the document at time of pickup. This feature is targeted
at users in financial, government and health care environments where multiple
users are printing confidential information.
For more reliable document management, the SCX-5639FR
and SCX-5739FW models also include the
Embedded Barcode Font feature, which enables users to print and scan document
bar codes without the need for a separate program to create the code. Embedded
bar codes are designed to help offices manage paperwork more easily, including
shipment tracking, purchase orders and similar documents. These models are the
first printers with Samsung/’s new, proprietary anti-jam roller technology.
